Since 1998, The City of Alpena has been fortunate to have a local access television channel, which provides this community with an outlet for informational, entertainment and educational programming specifically relating to our area. The city owned and ACC operated PEG (Public, Education and Government) Cable Channel 97 and Digital Channel 991 are valuable commodities.

All About Alpena:
Alpena Market Place Productions has videotaped and produced many programs, which have aired on this channel during our local program "All About Alpena". The programming is dedicated to local events of interest to the local population. We regularly broadcast the Alpena City Council meetings. In addition, many groups such as the League of Women Voters, Alpena Symphony Orchestra, local parades, festivals, Children’s Choir, Besser Male Chorus, many holiday concerts, only to name a few. All of these organizations have been extremely happy to have Alpena Market Place Productions tape, produce, and broadcast their events or information to the local public. The programming and productions have been warmly received. We are contacted continually to schedule coverage of various local events for broadcast. The request for quality programming and airtime on PEG Cable Channel 97 and Digital Channel 991 continues to increase yearly.

Public Access PEG Channel 97 and Digital Channel 991:
Community PEG Channel 97 and Digital Channel 991 "All About Alpena" has an audience of over 10,000 homes in Alpena County. Local businesses and organizations sponsor production costs of community television programs. Channel 97 and Digital Channel 991 TV provides local businesses and organizations with low cost advertising and free commercial production.
